Star Wars Vintage Video Games

We're fans of all things Star Wars around here, but you probably noticed that already. Poke around and you'll find a fair amount of information about our favorite Star Wars characters, plus new and vintage toys, and even accessories like a Star Wars belt or buckle.

So video games aren't exactly vintage, I bet you're thinking. Okay, so forget the PC-based games, your Xboxes, Playstation, and related, and you're still left with a ton of games beginning in the 1980's.

The original Star Wars (episode IV) game was actually the second video game released, and it came out shortly after the Empire Strikes Back (episode V) was released. Empire Strikes Back was released in 1982 for the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision. In 1983, Star Wars was released on just about every console in existence at the time, thanks to the popularity of the previous year's release. It was available in the 80's on the Atari 2600, Colecovision, Apple, Commodore 64, you name it. The full-size arcade game was available as well.
