Star Wars Vintage R5-D4 Droid

The R5-D4 was a part of the low cost Industrial Automaton R5 line, a line plagued with malfunctions. Its programming became jealous of other droids that were capable of serving without failure and had loyal masters. The droid was almost sold to Luke's uncle,  Owen Lars, but malfunctioned at the time of purchase. Owen then chose the R2-D2 droid. Some Star Wars buffs claim that R2-D2 sabotaged R5-D4 so that R2 and 3PO could remain together.
