Speeder bikes are small, fast transports that use repulsorlift engines to achieve speeds of nearly 500 kilometers per hour.
Speeders are seen throughout the series, but the most famous scene is the forest chase scene in Return of the Jedi, where Leia and Luke pilot a pair of speeders to chase down scout troopers who might reveal the Rebel Alliance's presence on Endor.

Vintage Star Wars Snowspeeders
The snowspeeder is a Rebel Alliance vehicle featured in The Empire Strikes Back. Luke was instrumental in helping the Alliance acquire its squadron. The snowspeeders used on Hoth are modified Incom T-47 airspeeders initially used for civilians, but they were modified to operate in the deep freeze of planet Hoth.
Luke Skywalker leads the team of snowspeeders against Imperial AT-AT walkers during the Battle of Hoth. They begin the battle firing with little luck; they then begin to use their harpoons and tow cables to trip the AT-AT walkers.
