X-wings are so named because their wings split in half to form a flat "X" shape viewable from the front or rear of the craft. Each X-wing has an external cockpit where a droid can be loaded. The droid then handles things like navigation and repairs.

This is one of the most collectible Star Wars Vintage Toys around, thanks to its rarity. It was originally released as part of the Power of the Force line, but never made it past because of flat sales. Whereas other vehicles were brought back in later product releases, the skiff never hit the market again.So the double whammy: a short release and poor sales means that there aren't many of these around.

Star Wars Vintage Vehicles & Planes

When I was seven, I traded my killer Land Cruiser to an older boy from the neighborhood for a box cutter and something else of even less value (because I can't remember what it was). I wasn't allowed to play with knives at that age (of course), so I thought it was a good deal.

That might have been one of the worst decisions of my life. I told my mother, who expressed her disappointment. But she let me keep the knife! To this day I still think about that Land Cruiser.
